Feature and Follow Friday--Discovering New Books

Hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.
This week's question:

Before blogging (dark times people!) how would you find out about new books or did you? - Suggested by A Great Read

I typically would either browse the book store or google new or upcoming books in the specified genre, month and date. I still often find more books that way than I do by perusing blogs. Of course, there's Goodreads. Although I'm not sure how far that dates back. I've only been a member since '12.

  1. Cute blog! New follower here. Have a great weekend!

  2. Hi Jazmen :) I find Goodreads is the best source out there; it's detailed and organized and full of energy. Returning the follow! Have a wonderful weekend :)

  3. I had a very similar approach :) I would also check websites of the authors I had already read book from and enjoyed to see when their next one was coming out. It was effective but it did limit my reading range quite a bit.

    Old follower :)

  4. I only started on Goodreads recently too, but I think some people have been using it a lot longer. Before then I didn't really use the internet much to look for books, I would mostly browse local book shops or the mobile library. I'm a new Bloglovin' follower.

  5. Wow, googling for books sounds kinda overwhelming, but that is the best way to get the most recent books! I just joined goodreads, so I'm excited to really start getting involved over there!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
    New Follower :)

  6. I would browse bookstores or search through Amazon's website. Amazon's recommendations have always been helpful and the list under each book of people who bought this book also bought this, etc. ~Pam

  7. definitely goodreads for me if it wasn't for blogs... but before goodreads, I'd say a random stroll at the bookstore helps me decided which books to buy :3 I never tried googling books (now I wonder why I never thought of that XD)

Thanks for stopping by my bog and I'm a new bloglovin follower!
