YA AND NA Holiday Giveaway, Day Four, Lori Brighton

Christmas is my favorite time of the year, so I'm kicking off the holiday season with a little YA, NA Giveaway! I will feature a different author, everyday for the rest of the week. There will be one entry form but you can choose which book you'd like to win. To see them all check back daily for the other prizes! There will be a secret word hidden in the author interview so you might want to read it! All interviews will give us a secret look at our favorite author's holiday traditions and wish lists.

What is your favorite holiday/Christmas tradition?

When I lived in the Northern US it was common for people to drive around and look at Christmas lights. We would also go to a farm and cut down our own tree. They don’t do either of those so much in the south where I am now. But those will always be some of my favorite memories. Now, I’d say decorating sugar cookies with my son is something I always look forward to. Also, watching all the Christmas movies and cartoons.

What is your favorite Christmas song?

I like a lot of them, and I love listening to the older singers like Bing Crosby. But one of my favorite songs is Walking in a Winter Wonderland; it’s just a sweet, happy and romantic song.

Santa's coming, what's on your Christmas wish list?

How about a quaint stone cottage in England? Will that fit down chimney? Or how about a movie deal for one of my books? lol. I know it’s cliché but honestly when you have children it’s just fun watching them get what they want.

Your filling Santa's sack with your favorite books, name five you would put in there.

Any Julie Garwood historical romance, Jane Eyre, this is cheating but the Chronicles of Narnia series and the Anne of Green Gables series (both favorites when I was young), and (at the risk of sounding pretentious) something spiritual/self-help, like a book by the Dalai Lama.

If you had to spend Christmas anywhere in the world, with anyone where and who would it be?

Of course with my son and husband. But it would definitely be up north, somewhere cold. Christmas is just so much better with snow. I’d love to get a cabin somewhere and have a Christmas with my entire family; my mom, brother and his family, and sister and her family. Just once would be good!

Favorite Christmas/holiday show.

My all time favorite movie is A Christmas Carol. As for cartoon, it would have to be A Year Without a Santa Claus purely for the Snow Miser and Heat Miser.

You're making a Christmas sweater for the holidays, what does it look like?

The cheesier the better! It has to be red or green, of course. How about a knit version of Rudolph, completely with light up nose?

 Favorite holiday/Christmas dish.
Honestly, I’m not a big cook, but I do like to have an actual Christmas meal with turkey and all. I’m addicted to the frosted sugar cookies!

  1. Fun Christmas post. I could never spend Christmas some place warm, it just wouldn't seem right. Walking in a Winter Wonderland is my favourite Christmas song too.
