On A Tuesday by Whitney G Review--Romantic, But, that Meh Ending Tho.

BLURB
We met on a Tuesday.
Became best friends, then lovers, on a Tuesday.
And everything fell apart on a Tuesday...

Charlotte Taylor has three automatic strikes in my book: 1) She hates me. She also claims that I'm a "domineering jerk with a huge, overbearing ego." (I do have something huge. It's not my ego, though.) 2) She takes our mandatory tutoring sessions way too seriously. 3) She's sexy as hell...And a virgin.

At least, those were her strikes before our study sessions started lasting longer than they were supposed to. Until one innocent kiss became a hundred dirty ones, and until she became the first woman I ever fell hard for.

Our future together after graduation was supposed to be set:
Professional football for me. Law school for her.

But she left me at the end of the semester with no explanation, and then she completely disappeared from my life.

Until tonight.

We met on a Tuesday.
Became everything, then nothing, on a Tuesday.
And now it's seven years later, on a Tuesday...

**This is a full length second chance romance, inspired by Adele's "When We Were Young"**

REVIEW
THREE OUT OF FIVE STARS

This was very reminiscent of Bad Romeo, which for those of you who don't know was and is one of my favorite New Adult/Romance tittles to date.

It was angsty, banter-y and fun.

While I wasn't head over heels in love with this one like I was with Bad Romeo--I definitely enjoyed this read no doubt.

The characters were solid. The past/future juxtaposition was well-timed and spot on.

The push and pull was just enough. I don't have many complaints about this one.

BUT, that ending.

Meh.

It wrapped way too quickly, way too smoothly. It was like lighting a firecracker, only to have it fizzle out.

It kind of put a damper on the story, and dropped my rating.

It wasn't even that it was HEA, because chicks love HEA's. Well, some of us do. :P

But it was the fact that we had this whole push and pull for about 90 % of the book and then bam, it's over--no real answers. Just a blow up, a solution, and a "THE END." I wasn't a fan of it.

For that I have to give it a lesser rating. On the other hand, it's a worthwhile read that won't take up too much of your time.

So, if you like your reads quick, romantic, and climactic (with a fizzle-less ending) this is a good one for you.

*PS THAT COVER MODEL THO.

  1. It's always so sad when an ending can ruin a whole book for you, or at least make it not as good as it was throughout. Sorry this happened but wonderful review for this! Have a lovely weekend!

  4. Cover boy is real cute tho heyyyyyy lol. I really want to pick this up, but I'm nervous about the ending. As you know I LOVED Bad Romeo, and if anything compares to that, I'm down to read it, but an ending that wraps up to quickly is always a disappointment for me. If the rest of the story is strong then I guess I can give it a chance. Might as well lol

I'm an ending girl so I know this one would bother me. At least you got some entertainment before the end! :D
