Feature and Follow Friday--Reading Slumps

How do you cure a book hangover/blogging slump/reading slump? - Suggested by Take Me Away...

I actually did a post about this a while back--my suggestion is take a break. That's probably best. Give yourself some time to recoup before diving back into reading. OR do a buddy read or read something you really enjoy--like re-reading your favorite book, or picking up a book you know you'll really enjoy that maybe you've been putting off. For me buddy reading is the more fun option because even I wind up reading a book I don't like--I have someone to rant and rave to.

Hi, and thanks to any and all new followers!

  3. I just got over a reading slump! I opted to go for the "read a book you REALLY want to read", but next time I'll do the buddy read (sounds fun!). :)

  7. Oooh, buddy reads! That's a great idea! And then you can talk about how you both felt about the book afterwards. That's a new suggestion and I'm definitely adding it to my list of things to do when I have a book hangover :)

  9. I've had to take a break a time or two myself, and that has worked. I also like to just keep trying to until I hit something I like. New follower via GFC.

  11. I agree with you, usually taking a break from reading works best for me when I'm in a reading slump. I usually just watch shows and movies on Netflix then return to reading 2-3 days later. Great post <3 Benish| Feminist Reflections

  16. I can totally understand taking a break. It's nice to do something completely different for a couple of days just to clear your head a bit.
