Feature and Follow Friday #16

Feature and Follow Friday is hosted by Parjunkee and Alison Can Read. This week's F&F topic/question is:

Question of the Week: Have a pet. Show us or tell us.

I have two cats named, Blackie and Marfield. Unfortunately I only have a picture of Blackie because Marfield is a shelter cat and must have had a rough life before we got him because he is very scary even though we've had him for about ten years.  It would be a mission impossible to get a photo of him. (FYI,  he's really long, with mostly white and gray fur.) He's kind of mean and he might scratch me if I get too close but, I love him anyway. I love both of my pets. They make my house feel like a home :)
Yup, he's black. I think black cats get such a bad rap. All of the ones I've encountered are pretty awesome, and down right sweet!

  2. Yay for cats! Blackie is adorable. And I understand how you feel about Marfield. I have a dog named Ginger who LOVES to bite people because it's her way of "playing games."

  11. Poor Marfield! I don't understand how people can be cruel to animals! I love black cats, personally, even though I'm not cat person. They just look so elegant! And it's definitely fun to have a pet around!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a great week and I'm following back ;)

  20. I agree black cats do get a bad rap and it's not fair. One of our fur babies is a pit bull and it makes me so mad how she gets a bad rap because she is the best thing to ever happen to our family. I agree your pets do make you house feel like home. We have a shelter cat as well and he can get very scary lol. It was hard taking pics of him too. He's more sneaky then mean now cause he's getting fat and lazy lol!

I loved him even when he was anti social. Thanks for sharing, Have a great weekend and happy reading. New follower My FF

  25. I love black cats! He's a cutie. I use to have one as a kid name Salem after Sabrina the Teenage Witch, lol. She was so awesome.

Your other cat sounds like one my friend has. Everytime I go over there, if I get to close she tags me. Non-the-less she's part of the family and been their forever!

  29. I totally get what you're saying about black cats. My apartment is full of them. :-) And major kudos to you for taking on a less socialized cat and loving him so much. There aren't enough people out there who would do so.

You can meet my fuzzy bunch HERE. New follower via GFC. :-)

  30. Black cats do get a bad rap, and you've seen our cat Billy is black. We always wanted a black cat, and then Billy was born at my in-laws (they live across the street). They couldn't afford to take him in, so we did. :) Your cat is super cute! I love that you guys rescued Marfield from a shelter. Both Billy and Charlie were strays, and Charlotte was, too. We have another black kitten hanging around our front porch, once again from my in-law's house. I'm thinking about taking her in, too. Thanks for visiting my FF! Old follower :)

  32. My black cat is the sweetest cat I have ever known as well. They are definitely not deserving of the bad rap black cats have.

  34. Hi, I just came across your blog looking for blogs to follow. I own 2 kittens (3-4 weeks old) I just rescued, and a crazy german shepherd :) I've never really owned cats, but I don't believe black cats are "bad luck," they're sweet.
