Gargoyle Addiction by Livia Olteano Tour Stop

Goodreads Book Blurb:

Summonari don’t trust. Under their command, they summon any number of creatures from the Otherwolds—but never trust them outside of the summoning.
Gargoyles don’t love. Fierce descendants of dragons, they function on power and fear—never love.

Karla isn’t the happily-ever-after type of girl. No territory-hungry guy is going to stick flags all over her unclaimed grounds.
Kann’s world is death and betrayal. As Dar Primus of Haus Varis, he’s expected to follow tradition but he’s not your regular gargoyle. In fact, he’s anything but.

One fateful Friday night, Otherworlds collide. Stuck together in one world or another, Karla and Kann face everything from Awakenings and turbulent love to Festnavals and bloodthirsty scorned suitors.
If there’s one thing they can’t escape, it’s the addiction to each other. And they’ve got it bad.

Imagine being able to reach into your favorite book and take out the man of your fictional dreams...well that's what happened to Karla sort of. Karla is a noncommittal loner. She has her best friend Mike and herself and that's all she needs. She doesn't need a relationship and she doesn't want one. She's already lost her family, who needs anymore heartache or problems. She just wants her favorite series to get her through.  And on her birthday her best friend gives her an ARC copy of the latest book in the series, book seven of the Risen Chronicles. She immediately immerses herself into it and fall asleep doing so but, when she wakes there he is, in all his gargoyle perfection, the object of her fictional imagination come to life. Yup, that's right her fictional crush is in her world, in real life, and in her bedroom. Thus starting the beginning of a hot, steamy, and tumultuous love affair.

This was a great book. I think if I were to ever be able to bring my fictional crush to life I would want it to happen something like it did in this book. Their love was doomed from the start but, they fought for it to work and succeeded. How can you not love this book. It had everything: romance, humor, action, and some really good writing. There are so many things I could note that I love about this book but I don't want to post spoilers. I just suggest you check it out. I doubt you will be disappointed!

  2. I love how Karla refused to just give in to her feelings (when her brain wasn't chemically challenged due to Kann's nearness). She resented him and craved him at the same time.
It was a first for me and a really good first at that.
